We know stepping into any new environment for the first time can be somewhat intimidating. For this reason, we want to give you an idea of what to expect by listing our frequently asked questions. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact the church office. We cannot wait to meet you!
FAQ
Can I come as I am?
Yes! You will find a variety of dress at NCUMC – from suits and dresses to jeans and shorts. Being here is much more important than what you are wearing.
Where do I park?
Parking is on the East side of the building. Our church is handicap accessible – with handicap parking close to the entrance. We do not have assigned parking; anywhere you find a spot is fine.
What is your worship service like?
Our Sunday morning service includes traditional hymns, a praise song and a message based on the Bible. The first Sunday of every month includes Holy Communion. All who attend are welcome to participate! Our services are designed to last approximately one hour. Each week, after service, we share refreshments in our Fellowship Hall – a time for conversation, laughter and fellowship. Months that have a 5th Sunday include a potluck after our service! Always plenty of food and fellowship.
Will I be embarrassed?
Absolutely NOT!! We will not ask you to stand to be recognized or request a financial commitment.
Are there activities for my children?
We love kids! Your children, of any age, may stay with you in worship service. Please know that the sound of children is music to our ears! We do NOT expect perfect behavior. If you need a moment to step away or to rest a sleeping little one, we do have a nursery and play room for the children.
“Don’t neglect to open up your homes to guests, because by doing this some have been hosts to angels without knowing it.”
